So. Night Guard. Yeah. It's an excuse for a bunch of geekish PCs to dress like superheroes (seriously, they have COSTUMES) and run around using their awesome powers* to help people.

*the awesome powers consist of psychometry, breathing underwater, party tricks with making margaritas really fast and taking drugs. Really, the awesomeness of this team cannot be denied. Okay it totally can be. Whatever.
