The Penalty Box is a family-friendly restaurant and bar with a sports theme and karaoke Tuesdays.
History
The Penalty Box was originally a community tavern opened in the mid-1800's previous to the Civil War by the Swann Family. It has the proud heritage of being one of the endpoint way-stations of the Underground Railroad, and was closed briefly in the summer of 1979, only to re-open in the fall under its new name and with a sports bar motif, well before sports bars became a popular restaurant staple.
The favorite locale of Devilshire's finest in service to the community, it is also the ideal spot for local and visiting hockey fans to enjoy their favorite sport with multiple flatscreen televisions, friendly atmosphere, and a diverse food and drink menu.
