The Moors Gallery
You'll find anything you need here. And not just art. But the art's good too.
By Day
We have paintings.
It's true, actually, the Moors Gallery is the go-to place in Devilshire for anything art-related. Sculptures, photographs and paintings are all featured here. The front room has been refitted to sport all local artwork - and the new manager and owner, Gia Moore, is constantly trying to find some new artist to make famous in this little town.
The Gallery - theoretically - is also used for nice little invite-only get togethers for the higher-cusp of Devilshire, offering champagne and jazz music for people to wander and gaze to. In fact, old time jazz is what is almost always playing there. It is free to get in, and anyone may enter to browse or buy. Simply be aware of the state-of-the-art security system in place, not to mention that causing trouble in here could cause trouble with the Moore family, and nobody wants that now, do they?
It should also be noted that the Gallery has an advertising deal with The Garden of Eden Salon and Spa. The desk by the front door of the Gallery sports lovely little flyer-cards that can be picked up, showing how nice it would be to go get a massage and a mani/pedi, as well as other features the Spa has.
By Night
The Moors Gallery still has paintings.
But they have a lot of other stuff too. Demons going in and out, even a few vampires have been seen in the area doing business. And all of their business does not only concern artwork. For anyone with enough supernatural contacts to know, the Gallery is a fantastic contact place for those in need of the Moore services - namely those services that are less reputable and are not exactly daytime activities.
The best part? Those of you who know about the Moors nightly activities also know that money talks - much louder than words, grunts, or history.
The Staff
The Moors Gallery has paintings ... but no PC employees! Now Hiring!
Gia Moore is currently in charge of the Moors Gallery. She has a strong background as a graduate of Princeton University with a double degree in Anthropology and Art History. She spent four years of her life traveling Europe and the Orient, studying the different cultures and arts of the land. She's now brought her experience and expertise back to Devilshire, to help bring culture to her old hometown.
It's well known that Gia grew up in Devilshire as a Moore. It's not so well known that she took up the family business, and is a very serious but honest business partner. She wants to do a job, straight and simple. So just ask!
As a business person, Gia strikes her patrons and workers as particularly nice and understanding. This is reserved for people who are doing their job, making her money, or otherwise not causing a ruckus. To anyone who does not fall under these few catagories, however? If you are not making her money, not doing your job and making a ruckus? The true Moore in her will show out. While she's not really a bitch, she has before been called a 'she-bastard.' She's actually proud of the title and will work to earn it, given the opportunity. And, as crude as her jokes may be, they are -NOT- for the workplace.
Bet Yeager is currently the newest addition to the 'night' shift. Although she doesn't work full-time for Gia, she has agreed to show up when called to do little favors here and there. She has a military background, and that - compounded with being a werewolf - is certainly enough to get her through the door. Bet isn't quite aware of all the mischief the night shift may or may not be up to, but she seems willing to lend a helping hand.
She is primarily going to act as muscle for certain unsavory jobs involving unsavory people. This probably includes fighting. Bet is the sort of woman who relishes a challenge and most certainly is always ready for a fight, making her ideal for this position.
The unknown assistant position is an interesting one. Gia is looking for her 'Cordelia,' someone who has an understanding of artwork, but also can work full time and has a knowledge of the supernatural. It wouldn't do to have a normal human there, then have demons walking in every night. No, it simply wouldn't do. Still, if this is you, feel free to let her know! She really needs that assistant!
Other positions needed are for both the 'day' and the 'night' shift. You'd need to pitch the idea pretty strong for a non-assistant day shifter, but the night shift? Gia needs muscle. Gia needs contacts. Gia needs shady characters and bookies and anything in between. Have you wanted to get involved with the Moore business? Here's a perfect opportunity to do just that.
